published again (well… not really…)
Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to be a reviewer on a few books. For Manning, I was able to do this on the EJB Cookbook, Spring in Action and Portlets in Action. Recently, PACKT Publishing contacted me to see if I could participate as a reviewer for their Mastering Redmine book by Andriy Lesyuk. Being a BIG fan of Redmine (and TRAC before that), I immediately said yes.
Andriy did a solid job at bringing this popular open-source project to a book. If you are new to Redmine, check it out sometime; it can be the right tool for many teams -- especially those teams smaller than 15 folks. It gives you SCM integration, work item management, wiki, and many more features plus cross-linking among everything. Mastering Redmine presents new, and seasoned users alike, with some solid information on this solid tool. Check out the table of contents andsample chapter to get a feel of what this book is about.
For anyone who might be interested in reviewing future Manning or PACKT books, please let me know and I’ll get you connected with the right folks and y’all can take it from there.
