Interior of Frauenkirche; Munich's Cathedral

While Walking Around Munich the day before I was able to see this huge cathedral in the scenic part of Munich, but after I went in with a coworker (who decided on the fly to attend mass) I stepped back outside (for a good looooooong time ; -).

David Streever rolled into town for Hadoop Summit and despite being exhausted (cuz I'm a heckuva nice guy – and so is he), I took him to Marienplatz for dinner.  Just before we ate we got the chance to check out the interior of the cathedral and take some photos.

It is tall.

It is long.

It is full of beautiful stain glass windows (click on them to see full-sized images).

   

It also has tons of wood carvings and other decorations.

It is a definite stop while you are visiting Munich.
