Walking Around Munich

Walking Around Munich

I was lucky enough to spend a good part of the day today walking around Munich with a coworker who is also out here with me to teach Hadoop & Spark technologies at DataWorks Summit and I thought I'd share some of the photos I took.

The most striking piece of architecture is the New Town Hall at Marienplatz.

There were also many historic and beautiful churches.  The one you see the to the left on the picture above is the Cathedral Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche).

The St Salvator church was pretty cool, too.

The under-restoration towers of Theatinerkirche were also pretty sweet.

There were some other landmarks and monuments that we saw such as the Feldherrnhalle.

As well as the Dianatempel and the Bavarian State Chancellery.

We finished up our long wandering walk at the English Garden where we had another round of white sausage and sauerkraut.

Again, I'm very blessed to have a great day far from home in this beautiful place.
