West Alabama’s Covered Bridges
West Alabama’s Covered Bridges
If looking for Covered Bridges in West Alabama, then you should start on the campus of the University of West Alabama where you’ll find the Alamuchee-Bellamy Covered Bridge which was built way back in 1861. It’s looking pretty darn good for a 150 year old bridge!
It is holding up better then this fella in his early 50’s.
Heading back towards Birmingham I stopped to see this old mill at Tannehill State Park which just a couple miles from the second covered bridge of the day.
As I said, just down the street was the second covered bridge of the day. A simple (and not very old) covered bridge; the Tannehill Valley Estate Covered Bridge.
A good day for Covered Bridges indeed!
