The Trails at Gold Branch
Our family hike at the Chattahoochee River NRA HQ a couple of years ago plus my ATL50 - Canoeing thru the Chattahoochee River NRA adventure always remind me to get out enjoy the CR-NRA that the National Park Service maintains so well. This time, Gretchen and I headed over to Gold Branch which we have driven by dozens of time and have not yet enjoyed.
As you can see from the map below (also available here) there are plenty of routes you can take allowing many different hiking experiences at this great park.
They also have TONS of what i love most in Atlanta; trees! Molly even enjoyed the trails.
They even had some cool rock formations down by the river.
Did I say river? Of course, they are some good views along the way!!
As you can tell from that last picture from the bank, the trees make it VERY shady along the trails. And if you like trails, you came to the right place as that's Gold Branch's endearing feature.
What a beautiful day in North Georgia and I could not have had a better hiking partner.
